About Me

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Vivian Greene
I currently reside in Prince Rupert, B.C., Canada with my husband Steve, as well as, my dog Penny and cat Booboo.  I volunteer at the SPCA and have puppies and kittens that come to stay with us from time to time.  I have one daughter (Crystal) and one granddaughter (Rayne) who live in Mackenzie, B.C.  I worked in the financial industry for over 25 years before deciding it was time for me to leave a year and a half ago.  I turned 50 in 2017 and I am currently unemployed or as I like to say retired. I have been married once before and met my current husband here in Prince Rupert.  We have been married for 17 years and together for 20.  We left Prince Rupert for 13 years, as the bank transferred me to many places (Duncan, B.C., Toronto, Ontario, Calgary, Alberta, Campbell River, B.C. and Courtenay, B.C.)  My husband had lived his whole life in Prince Rupert before he met me.  On the other hand, I have lived in Coquitlam B.C., Hope, B.C., 100 Mile House, B.C., Smithers, B.C., Houston, B.C., Mackenzie B.C. and Prince George, B.C. before I moved to Prince Rupert.  The quote above is one of my favourites.  The quote is about living our lives, not simply waiting for a good time to start.  My life has had many ups and downs but I feel it's how you look at life that makes a difference.  I've learnt a lot along the way and I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't gone through everything I have.  I'm still learning and still trying to be the best I can be.  I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when a grow up.  I'm my worse critic and overthink things way too much.  By sharing my stories, I'm also reminding myself of what I have done and where I've come from and where I'm going.  I hope you'll join me on my adventures in life.  (Photo above is of Penny and Booboo taken a year ago and my husband and me taken on New Years Eve 2017)
